The year is 2021. A dying mall shop that sells used copies of Madden is the most shorted stock in America. 140% of the float. Wall Street shorted more shares than actually existed, because who's gonna check.
A guy on reddit checked. Then a few million degenerates with rocket emojis checked. GME ran from $20 to $483 in three weeks. Melvin Capital needed a $2.75 billion ambulance from its friends. The suits learned what diamond hands means the hard way.
Then January 28. Peak squeeze. The clearing house calls at 5am asking for $3.7 billion, and the app of the people hits the kill switch. Buy button: gone. Sell button: working great, actually. Retail watched the top of the century print from behind a popup.
Congress held a hearing. They literally named it "Game Stopped." Melvin got deleted (f, may 2022). And "the buy button" became the most famous button in financial history.
And here's the part everyone forgets: the guy who started it all was called Roaring Kitty. this was always a cat story. we're just here to finish it.
Five years later Robinhood launched a chain. Cash Cat took the name back. CatStop takes the button back.
$CME is GME with claws. Same lore, new claws, and a buy button that physically cannot be switched off. It's a smart contract, not a brokerage.
📎 the receipts: r/wallstreetbets GME megathread, jan 28 2021 ↗CatStop doesn't locate shares. CatStop doesn't do "sell-only mode." CatStop sits on the keyboard and presses buy, forever.
(this is a memecoin. these are jokes. hold accordingly.)
four steps. you've trained for this since 2021.
In 2021 they closed the button and got away with it. In 2026 the button lives on a chain where nobody holds the keys. Not them. Not us. Nobody. Power to the paws.
🐾 BUY $CME$CME is a memecoin with no utility, no promises, and no business being anyone's financial plan. not affiliated with Robinhood Markets, GameStop Corp, r/wallstreetbets, Keith Gill, or your wife's boyfriend. we cannot legally promise a squeeze. this is fan fiction about a button. only spend what you can afford to lose.
